Pentax
Pentax
Pentax is a long-established Japanese camera brand, with its predecessor, Asahi Optical Co., founded in 1919. Pentax played a significant role in the history of camera technology development, especially in the field of single-lens reflex (SLR) cameras. In 1952, Pentax launched Japan's first SLR camera, the Asahiflex, and in 1954, it pioneered the world's first instant return mirror system in an SLR camera. Furthermore, Pentax's K-mount system became one of the widely used standards in the industry.
Pentax cameras are favored by photography enthusiasts for their robust durability, dustproof and weather-resistant features, and unique color science. Although Pentax's market share fluctuated in the digital age and it was acquired by Ricoh in 2011, its dedication to SLR cameras and continuous innovation spirit persist. While maintaining the advantages of traditional SLRs, Pentax also actively explores new technologies, committed to providing users with a unique and high-quality photographic experience.
